When choosing a hypnotherapist, be aware of the following fact...
Currently there are no national standards for Hypnotherapy in New Zealand. Unfortunately for the public, this allows people to advertise themselves as hypnotherapists, with little or even no formal qualifications. For your safety insist as a minimum that your therapist is NZHRB certified and preferably holds a tertiary qualification in either Psychology or Health Science.
This demonstrates a combination of practical and theoretical ability. Only then can you have confidence in their clinical competency. |
